Choosing planters for a patio or balcony
Planters finish an outdoor space. They soften hard corners, frame an entrance and bring green into a balcony with no garden. Our planters have a woven, rattan-style finish, so they also match rattan outdoor sets.
Pick the shape for the spot
- Round ball planters such as the wicker-style ball planter sit well in corners and beside a lounge set.
- Tall square planters like the tall square wicker planter box add height on either side of a door.
- Long 3-section troughs, for example the green 3-section planter box, work as a border along a balcony rail or a low screen between areas.
Inner pots make care easy
Most of our planters come with removable inner pots. You plant in the inner pot, lift it out to water, drain or repot, and the woven outer shell stays clean. Check the product page or ask on WhatsApp to confirm for the design you like.
What to plant
On a sunny balcony choose plants that like heat; in shade, leafy plants do better. Put taller plants at the back of a trough and trailing plants at the front. Leave space between the planter and walls so water can drain away.
Match the furniture

Placement
Group planters in odd numbers, keep pots clear of door swings, and check a balcony can take the weight of wet soil before filling a long trough.
Care
- Brush dust and leaves out of the weave and wipe it with a damp cloth.
- Lift the inner pot to water so soil and water do not sit on the woven base.
