Buying sunbeds in Kenya
A good sunbed is one people actually lie on. Comfort, a backrest that adjusts and a frame that is easy to move matter more than looks alone.
Straight or curved?
The brown rattan poolside sunbed has a straight profile that lines up neatly along a pool edge. The brown rattan curved sunbed follows the body more closely and suits a garden lounge or a private villa deck. Both have synthetic rattan woven over an aluminium frame, a multi-position backrest that goes flat or upright, and wheels.
How many do you need?
- Home pool: two sunbeds with a shared umbrella between them.
- Villa or Airbnb: one per bedroom is a common rule, so every guest has a place.
- Hotel or lodge: plan rows with a walkway behind them and one parasol for every two beds. Our hotels, lodges and Airbnbs page explains bulk orders.
Need several matching pieces? The brown poolside sunbeds listing is the place to start for sets.
Shade and placement
Leave at least a stride between beds so guests can walk past with a drink, and keep loungers back from the pool edge where splashing makes the tiles slippery.
Midday sun at the coast is strong, so most loungers need shade nearby. A cantilever umbrella from our garden parasols range keeps the base clear between two beds. The sunbeds and pool loungers guide compares the models and the spacing in more detail.
Check the backrest positions in person if you can. Some people want a flat bed for sunbathing; others want a high back for reading.
Care by the pool
- Rinse off chlorine and salt water with fresh water once a week.
- Bring cushions in at night and during rain; dry them in the shade.
- Roll the beds off wet tiles after cleaning so water does not sit under the frame.
Buyers looking for sunbeds for villas in Malindi and Watamu or loungers for lodges around Naivasha will find the models most asked for there.
Before you order
Sunbeds & Pool Loungers: questions customers ask
Quick answers about delivery, the showroom and ordering.
What are the sunbeds made of?
They are synthetic rattan woven over an aluminium frame, with a thick cushion. Each has a backrest that adjusts from flat to upright and wheels so you can move it into the sun or shade.
Can the sunbeds stay outside by the pool?
The frame and rattan are made for outdoor use. To keep them looking good, rinse off chlorine or salt water weekly and bring the cushions in at night and during rain.
I need sunbeds for a hotel or villa. Can you supply several?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the model, the number of sunbeds and the location, and we will confirm availability and send a quote. Our hospitality page has more on bulk orders.
Do you deliver sunbeds to the coast?
Yes, we deliver across Kenya, including Mombasa, Malindi and Watamu. Please send your location on WhatsApp for a delivery quote.
Which umbrella goes with a sunbed?
A cantilever umbrella works well because the pole stands to one side, leaving space between two beds. See the garden parasols range.
Can I try a sunbed before buying?
Yes. Visit our showroom at Rubis Utawala, along the Eastern Bypass, Nairobi, open daily from 8am to 8pm, and try the backrest positions yourself.
How can I pay?
Pay on delivery available in Nairobi & Kiambu. Upcountry delivery via verified transport.
