Short answer: A marble dining table gives a cool, smart surface that wipes clean, but it needs placemats, coasters and quick wiping of acidic spills. A 4-seater suits apartments, a 6-seater suits most family homes and an 8-seater needs a long room. Our marble and marble-effect dining sets cost from KSh 48,500 for four to KSh 225,000 for six.
Marble dining sets at a glance
A marble dining table in Kenya has moved from hotel restaurants into ordinary family homes, from new apartments in Kilimani to bungalows upcountry. Some of our sets have marble tops and some have marble-effect tops; the product page says which, and if you are unsure, ask us. The table compares a selection from our dining tables and sets, with prices checked on 11 October 2026.

Marble vs wood vs glass dining tables
Marble and marble-effect tops look formal and stay cool, and a white top makes the dining area feel brighter. They wipe clean after meals, but acids such as lemon, vinegar and tea can mark them, and very hot pots should never go straight on the surface. They are also heavy, which makes the table stable but harder to move.
Wood, especially mahogany, is warm, forgiving and easy to refinish over the years. It suits traditional homes and families who want a set that lasts a generation. See our mahogany dining set sizes and prices guide for the wooden options.
Glass tops keep a small room feeling open because you can see through them, and they are usually lighter on the budget. The Black & White Glass 6-Seater Dining Set at KSh 70,000 is an example. Glass shows fingerprints and needs a daily wipe.
In short: choose marble for a statement and easy wiping, wood for warmth and longevity, glass for small rooms and lower budgets.

4, 6 or 8 seater: choosing the size
Whatever the top, the room needs space for chairs to pull out. Allow about 75 cm behind each chair, and about a metre between the table edge and a wall or cabinet if people walk behind seated guests.
- 4-seater: fits one- and two-bedroom apartments and kitchen corners. The White Marble 4-Seater Dining Set at KSh 48,500 is our most affordable marble set, and the 4-Seater Beige Diamond-Stitch Marble-Top Dining Set at KSh 75,000 has a rectangular marble-effect top on slim black metal legs.
- 6 seater marble dining table: the most common choice for Kenyan families, with room for the household and a visitor or two. Most of our marble sets are 6-seaters, from the Black Marble 6-Seater Dining Set at KSh 85,000 upwards.
- 8-seater: for big families and homes that host often. The White Marble 8-Seater Dining Set at KSh 185,000 needs a long room with about a metre of space around the table.
Product pages do not always list table dimensions, so ask us on WhatsApp for the exact size. If you need a different size or chair colour, ask about custom-made furniture.

Round vs rectangular marble dining tables
Round tables let everyone see and talk to each other, have no corners to bump into, and suit square rooms and open-plan spaces. Several of our round sets have a built-in rotating tray in the centre, so nobody has to stretch for the stew or the chapati. Examples are the 6-Seater Orange and Grey Marble Round Dining Set at KSh 175,000 and the 6-Seater Multi-Tone Round Marble Dining Set at KSh 195,000, which sits on a black pedestal base with a gold band. A pedestal base leaves more room for knees and feet than four corner legs.
Round tables with a white top also come on different bases: the 6-Seater Marble Dining Set with Gold Legs at KSh 225,000 suits light walls and statement lighting, while the 6-Seater Marble Dining Set with Wooden Legs at KSh 225,000 suits homes with wooden floors and doors.
Rectangular tables fit long, narrow dining areas, which are common in Nairobi apartments where the dining space runs alongside the lounge. They also seat more people along the sides. The 6-Seater Brown Diamond-Quilted Marble Dining Set at KSh 185,000 has a rectangular marble-effect top with gold trim.

Chair styles: velvet, quilted and padded
The chairs shape how the set feels as much as the table does.
- Velvet-look fabric: rich and soft. The 6-Seater Teal Velvet Round Marble Dining Set at KSh 195,000 has teal velvet-look chairs with vertical stitching. Vacuum or brush fabric chairs regularly and blot spills quickly.
- Leatherette: wipes clean, which helps in homes with children. The brown diamond-quilted set uses brown and cream leatherette.
- Padded upholstered chairs: the gold-leg and wooden-leg sets have cream upholstered chairs; the wooden-leg version adds wooden armrests, which need a little more space to pull out.
- Mixed chairs: the 6-Seater White and Grey Marble Round Dining Set at KSh 175,000 mixes cream quilted and grey chevron chairs on slim black legs.
Our furniture colours and finishes guide helps if you are matching chair colours to walls and curtains.

Caring for a marble dining table
- Wipe spills straight away, especially lemon, vinegar, tomato, tea and juice, which can mark marble and marble-effect surfaces.
- Use placemats for everyday meals and trivets under hot pots, sufurias and serving dishes.
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry. Avoid bleach, scouring pads and strong household sprays.
- Natural stone tops are often sealed from time to time to help resist stains. Ask us whether your table's top needs sealing and which product suits it before using any.
- Lift chairs rather than dragging them, and tighten loose chair fittings over time.
Measuring and delivery
Marble tops are heavy, so plan the route in. Measure the dining area, the narrowest door and any tight turn on the stairs, and note the floor number and whether there is a lift. Our guide on measuring doors and stairs for delivery shows how. Send the measurements with the product name on WhatsApp and we will quote delivery to your estate or town; see furniture delivery across Kenya.
